Welcome to Chugach Electric
As a new Chugach member, you do not need to take any immediate action. If you received an electric bill from ML&P in October, you will get a bill from Chugach in November. If you would like to take advantage of some of the programs of being a Chugach member, the steps are below.
LOOKUP YOUR CHUGACH ELECTRIC MEMBER ACCOUNT NUMBER
Use your last ML&P bill and the Chugach Member Account Lookup tool to find your Chugach member account number. You will need a Chugach member account number to do business with Chugach, from signing up for billing options to paying your bill.
If you have your member-account number from Chugach, skip this step and go to Step 2.
REGISTER FOR THE MY ACCOUNT MEMBER PORTAL
Use your email address and Chugach member account number found in Step 1, to register for the My Account member portal. Once registered for My Account you will be able to view and pay your bills, sign up for paperless billing and AutoPay, track your usage, and sign up for outage and usage threshold notifications.
COMPLETE A MEMBER APPLICATION
Chugach is a cooperative, formed to serve its member-owners. This means that members elect their board of directors through voting in an annual election and over time they will receive capital credits, allocation of funds that represent the member’s share of the ownership in the Cooperative. To receive the full benefits of being a Chugach member please complete the Member Application.
We recognize some of our members have locations in both former ML&P area (now Chugach North) and the traditional Chugach area (now Chugach South). If you have been a Chugach member and were mailed a member application, please take this opportunity to fill out a new member application to update your information.
