The Chugach Electric Association Board of Directors elected new officers Wednesday night, June 17, including re-electing Bettina Chastain as Board Chair.

The complete slate of officers includes:

• Bettina Chastain          Board Chair (re-elected)
• Rachel Morse              Vice Chair
• Jim Henderson            Secretary
• Harold Hollis                Treasurer

Monday night, June 15, Chugach held its first-ever virtual annual meeting announcing the results of the 2020 election. Attorney Sam Cason and engineer/consultant Mark Wiggin were elected to the two open seats on the board. Chugach’s 2020 election saw an increase of 23 percent in voter participation, with 12 percent of the eligible members casting votes.
