Chugach donates 450 turkeys to charity

Turkey deliveries

Chugach Electric Association is donating nearly 6,000 pounds of turkey to local charitable organizations, including Bean's Café, the Food Bank of Alaska, Covenant House, Salvation Army, Mother Lawrence Foundation and Hope Community Resources. This is the eighth year Chugach has donated turkeys to local charitable organizations.

Chugach will deliver the 450 turkeys to local charities Dec. 14, 15 and 16.

The donation helps fill a need in the community for turkeys for holiday meals and gift baskets that will be distributed throughout the local area. Chugach purchased the turkeys from Carrs/Safeway.
