Chugach holds public meetings

Chugach Electric Association will host a joint agency/public meeting and site visit July 9 and 10 in Cooper Landing.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to give comments on the initial consultation package which is the first official consultation step in the relicensing process for Chugach's Cooper Lake hydroelectric project. There will also be a site visit to the project. Additional information on the relicensing project is available on the relicensing website at www.chugachelectric.com/relicensing.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 9 and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10 at the Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge. To RSVP, call May Clark, relicensing secretary at (907) 762-4547 or e-mail may_clark@chugachelectric.com.
