Chugach donates 450 turkeys to charity

Chugach Electric Association is donating more than 6,000 pounds of turkey to 15 different local charitable organizations.  In previous years, Chugach has made similar donations to local charitable organization.

Chugach will deliver the 450 turkeys to local charities Dec. 17 and 18.

The donation helps fill a need in the community for turkeys for holiday meals and food baskets that will be distributed throughout the local area.  Chugach purchased the turkeys from Carrs/Safeway.

Chugach is the largest electric utility in Alaska, providing power for Alaskans throughout the Railbelt through retail, wholesale and economy energy sales.
