Chugach holds public meetings

Chugach Electric Association will host two public meetings in March.

The purpose of the meetings is to discuss the relicensing process and procedures for Chugach's Cooper Lake Hydroelectric Project. In addition, Chugach will receive comments and entertain questions concerning the plant's relicensing.

The first meeting will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at the WestCoast International Inn at 3333 W. International Airport Road.

The second meeting will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, at the Kenai Princess Hotel in Cooper Landing.

To RSVP for either meeting, call May Clark, relicensing secretary at (907) 762-4547 or e-mail may_clark@chugachelectric.com.

Chugach is the largest electric utility in Alaska, providing power for Alaskans throughout the Railbelt through retail, wholesale and economy energy sales.
